Childrens Dance Programs

Dance Till You Drop offers a variety of childrens dance programs designed especially for Primary Schools following the PDHPE syllabus.

Put simply, we look after anything dance at your school. Our absolute passion for dance is unparalleled and most importantly, we love to encourage every student and help to develop their confidence.

Dance Till You Drop provides a range of childrens dance services, so you can choose the one that best fits the needs of your school.

Our structured programs run for either five or nine weeks, and include a FREE bonus week of Self Motivation and Acceptance Sessions. You can also purchase extra dance weeks as required if you wish to extend your school dance program.

Dance Till You Drop can also offer tailored dance options where we work with your school to prepare eisteddfod dance troupes, JRock, Wakakirri, festivals, or you can even arrange a full year of school dance tuition, including an end of year concert.

If your school's most pressing need is teaching assistance for school drama programs or singing classes, we can help with that also! Dance Till You Drop can take on your school choir or drama group, providing an experienced instructor who your students will aspire to learn from.

What you can expect

One of our professional dance instructors will arrive at your school with a powerful PA system, head set and music, ready to conduct your dance class according to the weekly schedule you have chosen.

Each class begins with a very important warm up, incorporating movement for rhythm and coordination. Each week the warm up content will vary across: progressions from the corner; stretch and flexibility; fitness; and various combinations.

A variety of Dance styles

Jazz has been chosen as our core subject. We chose Jazz as the core subject for our dance instruction because it is a generic style. This allows us to teach fundamental dance techniques using a variety of locomotor and non-locomotor skills. The core competencies learned here are essential when teaching composition, contrast and dance sequences. Once students have begun to master these fundamental techniques, they are incorporated into the extension subjects you have chosen.

Extension Subjects include:

Urban/Hip Hop; Salsa; Bollywood; Belly dancing; Partner dance; Character dance/Musical theatre/Song and dance; and Performance class (recommended to cover more indicators in the syllabus).
